Ashley Conte - Assignment 2

About this collection

Welcome to the John F. Kennedy Digital Collection website! This digital collection includes five carefully selected items from the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum archives. All items are in the public domain and are free to display here. These items include two photographs, one moving image, one audio recording, and one digitized campaign poster. The whole of this collection is meant to capture John F. Kennedy’s public personification while he was campaigning to become President of the United States (1960) and while he was President of the United States (1961-1963). Each item shows how he conducted himself during this time with the press, with foreign leaders, with government appointees, and with the American people directly. It truly was a campaign and presidency of firsts (ie. first televised press conference) that is worthy of being digitized and preserved for future generations.
